Yankton's musical roots trace back to Arkansas, where he began singing in a Pentecostal Church at the tender age of two. By five, he was already engaging with local musicians, mastering various instruments while immersing himself in country, gospel, bluegrass, and even dabbling in pop, rock, and hip-hop.

With an extraordinary vocal range, Yankton is adept at playing a variety of instruments, including guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, percussion, harmonica, pedal steel, and fiddle. He is also a skilled songwriter and producer, having recorded and toured with numerous leading artists from various music genres.

Yankton and his band have traveled extensively, performing at venues ranging from honky-tonk parties to large concert halls, stadiums, and festivals throughout the United States. He has shared the stage with renowned acts such as Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, The Brothers Osborne, Walker Hayes, Riley Green, Chicago, Heartland, and many others.
